Behind each of the 25 doors you'll find a kindness mission for the day and an affirmation card on the back. No chocolate, no plastic toys. Just 25 days of doing good, feeling good and building the kind of confidence that sticks around long after December.

Each door reveals a kindness activity for the day plus a reusable hand-drawn sticker. (See below for some examples of the kinds of activities you can expect.)

Flip the calendar over and the back holds 25 affirmations, each one hidden behind its own scratch panel. They're designed to match the meaning of that day's kindness activity, so the giving outward and the building within always go hand in hand.

Yes! Every calendar comes with a digital companion version too. We don't reveal all the content in advance (half the magic is the surprise of opening each door!) but you can get a feel for it from the activity examples above.

Yes, every year we are off on a new worldly kindness adventure. A brand-new destination, a brand-new hand-drawn illustration, a whole new set of kindness activities. Which means you can collect them all (yes, we've had families do every single year since 2019!) and the tradition never gets old. 2026 is Japan and we genuinely cannot wait for you to see it.

No. Our calendars are all-inclusive and designed for every family, regardless of traditions or beliefs. No religious references anywhere except wishing everyone a Merry Christmas on the 25th December. Kindness belongs to everyone.

We recommend ages 4 to 12, but honestly? Kindness has no age limit. Teens, parents and grandparents have all been known to join in. (We've had dads who refuse to let the kids open the doors without them, and we are absolutely here for it.)

Yes, with a little help from you. The little ones will need support opening the doors and understanding the activities, but they will absolutely love the stickers, the illustrations and the general excitement of it all.

No worries at all. You just read it aloud to them. The colourful illustrations, playful festive scenes and stickers make it just as exciting for the littlest kindness champions. And honestly, reading it all together, out loud might be the best bit (makes you feel so warm on the inside!). My favourite pick for the super little ones is the Aussie Beach Edition as this also has colour-in elements to it, perfect for the petit kindness crew members!

The Paris Museum collection is a favourite for slightly older kids. It features real paintings hanging in real museums in Paris (yes, our illustrator Ana actually drew the Mona Lisa and I still cannot get over it) so it doubles as a little art education. 

The New York ice skating edition also has a slightly older feel too. But again also perfect for younger ones.

Yes, genuinely. We have so many teens who love these. My own kids are 10 and 12 now and they are still obsessed. Not at all! You can enjoy the Scandi Forest calendar in sunny Queensland, or the Aussie Beach one in the middle of a Canadian winter. Pick the place that calls to you, not where you happen to live.

It started with Tess choosing places that meant something personally to her. But this year she asked the community where they wanted to go next. Japan won by a landslide. We're doing this every year from now on.

Because kindness has no geographical or religious boundaries, and we wanted the calendar to reflect that. Each year we choose a new world destination as part of our mission to celebrate inclusivity and help kids grow up appreciating how beautiful our differences are. The locations are also very close to our founder Tess's heart:

Scandi Forest: Tess grew up in Sweden, so this snowy wonderland is inspired by her own childhood Christmases. The characters are even named after her daughters, Scarlett and Sienna.

Aussie Beach: Set on Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. This is where Tess now calls home, making sandcastles instead of snowmen.

New York: A nod to Tess's honeymoon and her love for the city that never sleeps. (She secretly wanted to live there. Don't tell her very-Aussie surfer husband of 15 years.)

Paris: The city of love. Tess's youngest, Scarlett, dreams of being a fashion designer and moving there one day.

Canada: Inspired by a dream ski holiday. Tess is a skier at heart and always will be. (Sorry to all the snowboarders out there.)

Japan: The community voted and Japan won by a landslide. And now we're wondering why we didn't ask sooner.

Every location is a little postcard from the heart. A reminder that no matter where we are in the world, kindness is the same language.

Of course! They can take turns opening the doors, scratch the affirmations together and do the kindness activities as a team. That said, the calendars were designed for each child to have their own. Having their own copy means they own their own kindness too, and that's a big part of how the magic works.

Nothing. Seriously, no stress. Catch up the next day, skip it entirely or spread the kindness at whatever pace works for your family. The goal is connection and joy, not perfection. We've had families do the whole thing in January and love it just as much.
