The activities are similar in spirit — all fun, family-friendly kindness missions — but the art, illustrations, and certain little details are tailored to the theme’s setting. So just pick the theme you love the most! 💖 The kindness missions are pretty much the same (with a few delightful twists here and there), so whichever you choose, you’ll still enjoy the full magic of the Sharing Kindness experience.
Why do you have different locations for the calendars?
Because kindness has no boundaries — it belongs everywhere! 🌏💖 We also want children to open their eyes to the beauty of different places and cultures around the world. Each year, we choose a new location as part of our mission to celebrate inclusivity and help kids grow up appreciating our differences.
The locations we’ve picked so far are extra special because they’re personal favourites of our founder, Tess:
Scandi — Tess grew up in Sweden, so this snowy wonderland is inspired by her own childhood Christmases. The Scandi family characters are even named after her daughters, Scarlett and Sienna.
Aussie Beach — Set on Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, this is where Tess now lives with Scarlett and Sienna, making sandcastles instead of snowmen.
New York — A nod to Tess’s honeymoon and her love for the city that never sleeps (and sparkles with lights at Christmas).
Paris — The city of love, chosen because her girls adore it. Scarlett, the youngest, dreams of being a fashion designer and moving there one day.
Canada — Inspired by the dream of a magical ski holiday and the beauty of a white, snow-filled winter.
Every location is a little postcard from the heart — a reminder that while our homes may look different, kindness is the same language spoken everywhere. ✨
Do I need to be in the location the theme is based in?
Not at all! You can enjoy the Scandi calendar in sunny Queensland or the coastal Aussie theme if you’re in snowy Canada or vice versa.
Do you create a new theme every year?
